Following its critically acclaimed run at the Chichester Festival Theatre, Singin’ in the Rain has now openend in London’s West End. Based on the legendary MGM movie, Singin’ in the Rain tells the story of the creation of the first Hollywood movie musical, when the silver screen found its voice and left the world of silent movies behind.
All the charm, romance, comedy and 1920s elegance of one of America’s best-loved films are found in abundance in Jonathan Church’s brand new production, featuring a glorious score including the renowned Good Morning, Make ‘em Laugh, Moses Supposes and the classic Singin’ in the Rain.
Adam Cooper, Daniel Crossley and Scarlett Strallen are a joyous trio, dazzling in the roles made famous by Gene Kelly, Donald O’Connor and Debbie Reynolds. Katherine Kingsley lights up the stage with her comic touch whilst Michael Brandon delights as the highly-strung studio boss.
With stylish, high-energy choreography from Andrew Wright and Simon Higlett’s scene-stealing set design, Singin’ in the Rain is packed full of everything you could ever want from a West End musical.
